Jul 08 Please check out the photo gallery of our recent trip to Langhus in Norway and meet our chorus members enjoying themselves with our Norwegian friends. Jun 08 Our trip to Norway at the end of May was a wonderful and an unforgettable experience! We sang at many and varied venues including the famous Hadeland glass works, north of Oslo. Our main performance was at the very smart shopping centre in Ski, the town we stayed at with our lovely hosts, the Langhus choir. We then travelled up to Langhus, nearby, to perform with other local choirs of the region. We caused a surprise and sensation when we sang three songs, traditional to Norway, in the Norwegian language. What an experience when we received a standing ovation from them all! Thank you to Antony Cook, from the Langhus choir, who not only arranged the music for us but organised the whole trip together with Paula our public relations officer. So we feasted, sang and throughly enjoyed ourselves with our newfound Norwegian friends. Son!! May 08 We're all very excited at the moment as we're off to Norway at the end of May at the invitation of a Norwegian choir, called Langhus Veldig Blandet Kor (Langhus Very Mixed Choir). The choir is based in Langhus, which is about 15 miles outside Oslo, and we are planning to sing with them at local events in and around the area. We met them last year when they came to Liverpool to visit and to sing Norwegian folk songs in the city centre. We all got on well together and we were keen to go over to Norway this year to pay them a reciprocal visit. We'll be
fine ambassadors for Liverpool, as this year
the city is the European Capital of Culture! ![]() |
We sing in the typical barbershop style of unaccompanied close four part harmony. Our repertoire extends from traditional barbershop style songs, classic and contemporary ballads, through to modern up-beat numbers. We perform regularly at various functions and events throughout Merseyside and the North West. Please email us if you would like us to perform at your event
We have several public performances throughout the year, so please check back for further information. We would love to see you there! One of our regular performances takes place at Liverpool's Palm House in Sefton Park. Take a look at some photos of us on Flickr singing there at the Sefton Park Gardens Open Day Event on 29th June 2008. ![]() |
